Mexicans allocate 2 out of every 10 pesos of their income to pay ISR


The report Tax Wages 2022 of the OECD (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development) revealed that 2 out of every 10 pesos (19.6%) of the salary of workers in Mexico is destined to pay the ISR (Income Tax) and social contributions.

This level of taxes on workers’ wages is one of the lowest of the countries that make up the OECDonly above Chile, Colombia and New Zealand.

The country where the salary tax is higher in the group is Belgiumwhere workers allocate about 53% of their labor income to this tax.
