Mexican fintech Ventup bets on the food industry


The payment platform for food industry in Mexico, vent-upis committed to financing the food chain, a segment they target with little access to financial services traditional, in addition to being one of the least digitized sectors.

In Mexico there are 512 fintechconcentrates 21% of financial technology companies in the region, according to the latest report from the Inter-American Development Bank. Each of these companies serves a segment that has limited access to traditional banking.

In that context vent-up seeks to serve 95% of restaurants and suppliers, who do not have access to formal credit, according to the National Chamber of the Restaurant and Seasoned Food Industry (CANIRAC). Through data analysis the startup serves companies in the sector that do not have a credit history.

“Through 1,000 data points, a credit history is generated, which allows us to know the business in depth and deliver adjusted needs,” he commented. alberto sadafounder and CEO of Ventup.

Through the generation of data, Ventup grants loans to restaurants, in addition the company offers the option of interest-free payments. Besides, the fintech connects those involved in orders by registering the purchase process.

“The platform leads the purchasing relationship with its suppliers, in it the suppliers can interact with the restaurant to collaborate in the same place. By paying bills, services, technology collects information so that users can access financial solutions”, Sada pointed out.

The platform expects to strengthen its operation during this year, to achieve growth in Mexico, where it maintains operations in 23 states of the country, in addition to the fintech hope to expand to Colombia Y Brazil.

“We want to democratize the industry, today, those with growth potential and advantages are the largest. We seek to create an accessible and professional system, with tools for billing, collection, payment of services and products. What really moves us is being able to simplify life for SMEs through administrative, operational and especially financial solutions”, said Sada.
