Windsor resident Sherrel Robertson is $ 162,022 richer after winning the Windsor Regional Hospital Foundation Mega Money 50/50 drawing.

Robertson, a personal support worker, won one of the largest jackpots in the foundation’s Mega Money sweepstakes history.
“I’m so happy I can’t explain it,” said Robertson, who plans to pay the bills and share some of the proceeds with his son, daughter and two grandchildren.
“I bought several tickets,” he said in a press release. “As they always say, if you don’t have a ticket, you don’t have a chance.”
Robertson’s daughter, Jonelle Cimino, was delighted with the news.
“We come from nowhere in Jamaica and my mom works all the time,” Cimono said. “She came to Canada, she made a life for herself, she still gives and now she’s getting something in return.”
Proceeds from the sale of lottery tickets support the purchase of vital medical equipment at Windsor Regional Hospital.
