On Saturday, Regina product Mark McMorris won his tenth X Games gold medal and took first place in this round in snowboard slope style.
The victory, which was McMorris’ sixth in slope style, moved him past American Shaun White for most of all time in the discipline.
The 28-year-old has now won a total of 21 X Games medals.
McMorris will represent Canada at the Winter Olympics in Beijing in February, where he will try to bring home his first gold medal on that stage.
