Manuel Benítez ‘El Cordobés’, admitted to Quirón Hospital for a heart problem

The bullfighter Manuel Benítez El Cordobés, fifth caliph of bullfights, is imported andat Quirón Hospital in Córdoba due to a heart problem, but he is doing well and will probably be discharged this Friday, according to sources close to the well-known right-hand man.

Apparently Benítez felt bad last Tuesday, when he was at his farm in Villalobillos, with severe chest pain, and was taken to Quirón Hospital where he was admitted for a threat of heart attack. The bullfighter had a stent or bypass placed and was under observation and it is possible he will be discharged this Friday or Saturday.

According to sources close to the right-hand man, Benítez really enjoys showing his usual sense of humor with the staff who look after him.
