Man robbed of cash and SUV at knife point outside bank: Halifax police – Halifax | The Canadian News

Halifax Regional Police are searching for two suspects after a man’s cash and vehicle were allegedly stolen from a man outside a Bedford bank.

In a press release, police said they responded to a call about an ongoing robbery at the TD Bank at 82 Peakview Way in Bedford around 3:30 p.m. on New Years Day.

The victim told police that she had been to the ATM and was approached by two men as she was leaving the bank.

“A suspect was holding a knife and demanding cash and the keys to the victim’s vehicle,” the statement said.

“The suspects fled the scene with the victims in cash and their vehicle. The stolen vehicle is described as a gray 2021 Honda Pilot SUV. “

Police said the first suspect is in his mid-25s, slim, and wore a blue jacket with a white stripe across the chest, along with red pants. He had a black “COVID style” mask on his face.

The second suspect is described as in his 40s, also thin in complexion and dressed in a black jacket and gray pants. This suspect had a white or gray “gaiter” style scarf over his face.

Anyone with information about the theft should call 902-490-5020 or submit a notice anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
