Joseph Chlala wanted in connection with homicide in Edmonton

Edmonton police have issued an alert that one of the top fugitives on the Bolo Program reward list could be in Ottawa.
In a message on X, formerly Twitter, reposted by Ottawa police, Edmonton police said they have “reason to believe Joseph Chlala may be in the Ottawa area.”

Chlala, 23, is wanted on a charge of second-degree murder in the killing of Osama Ali, 21, who died from gunshot wounds in Edmonton on June 12, 2023.

Police said Chlala has connections in Edmonton, Calgary and Ottawa. He is described as being five feet five inches tall, with a heavy build, brown hair and green eyes.
The man is ranked number 7 on the Bolo Program’s 10 most wanted list.
There is a $50,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.
Anyone who sees Chlala is warned not to approach him and to call 911.
