Man killed after falling into River Credit in Mississauga – Toronto | The Canadian News

A man died after he reportedly fell into the Credit River in Mississauga on Tuesday.

Peel Regional Police tweeted that emergency crews were called to the Stavebank Road and Park Street area at 5:20 p.m. to receive reports of a person falling into the river and not resurfacing.

Emergency crews responded and the victim was located and pulled out of the water.

A spokesperson for Peel’s paramedics told Global News that the victim was a man with no vital signs.

Paramedics worked to treat the victim, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

More information about the incident was not immediately available.
