A man is in a life-threatening condition in the hospital after a nightly stabbing downtown.
Calgary police say they went to the 600 block of 5 Avenue SW after calls indicating a man with medical problems.
They found him with stab wounds and rushed him to hospital.

One person is in custody.
The road was closed in the area, but has since reopened.
