A man was charged with murder after turning himself in to police in connection with a shooting of a man in his driveway in Scarborough early Friday.

The shooting occurred in the area of ​​Sheppard Avenue East and Meadowvale Road around 2:13 a.m. Officers arrived at the scene and found a man showing obvious signs of injury and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said 23-year-old Jovane Watson turned herself in Wednesday. He was charged with murder in the first degree.

The victim was identified as Malcolm Ellis, a 25-year-old Toronto resident.

Watson was scheduled to appear in Toronto court on Wednesday.
