A Guelph man accused of throwing a hockey stick at a downtown business employee faces more than two minutes in the penalty area.
In a press release, police said a man entered a business Monday afternoon despite court orders requiring him to stay away.

When reminded by a worker that he was not allowed to be there, police said the man began swinging a hockey stick over his head and then pointed at the employee.
It is unclear if the man brought the hockey stick to the business or if it was already there.
The suspect later ran away, but was arrested after he returned to the same business a few hours later.

A 24-year-old man has been charged with assault with a weapon, two counts of non-compliance with release orders and two counts of non-compliance with probation.
The defendant is scheduled to appear in court on December 6.
