A 23-year-old man lost his life in a car crash on Témiscamingue Blvd. in Rouyn-Noranda early Sunday.

Sûreté du Québec spokesperson Hélène St-Pierre said preliminary information indicates it may have been a head-on collision and that alcohol may have been a factor.
Following the collision between the two vehicles, which took place around 1:30 am, one of them caught fire. The driver, a 22-year-old woman, was ejected from the vehicle and suffered serious injuries. Her passenger de ella was the 23-year-old man, who was declared dead on the scene.
The driver of the other vehicle, a 22-year-old man, suffered serious injuries and was transported to a hospital.
An investigator and an accident reconstruction specialist from the SQ have been dispatched to determine the exact circumstances of the collision.
