Gowler has very thick, curly hair, which feels very unruly and shapeless. He wanted to maintain the length and wanted a cut that was low maintenance and could be styled easily, both curly and smooth.
I cleaned her hair with KMS – Moist Repair Shampoo and Conditioner and then layered the middle and ends with KMS – Revival Cream for added conditioning and hydration. I cut her hair into a diagonal back silhouette and incorporated round layers to enhance the texture and shape of her face.
Before styling, I applied a palm-sized amount of KMS (styling mousse) for long-lasting shape and style, then blow-dried her hair with a round brush. I touched up her hair with a curling iron to create a soft, tousled finish.
Make-up:
We wanted to give Gowler an idea of how to wear her makeup for her daughter’s wedding and opted for a neutral color palette that would complement her style and complexion. We used a concealing foundation to reduce the redness on her skin and then chose warm brown eyeshadow to enhance her beautiful blue eyes. We lightly contoured her face with bronzer and dusted a touch of peach blush on the apples of her cheeks. To complete the look, we filled in and reshaped her eyebrows and then coated her lips with a combination of nude peach lip gloss and lips.
