Nearly 62 percent of Albertans have voted to remove federal equalization payments from Canada’s constitution, after Prime Minister Jason Kenney put the issue to a referendum. Kenney says Alberta is being treated unfairly, but he was part of the federal government that accepted the formula. And the results of this referendum do not change that formula.
