A 22-year-old man was arrested after a 56-year-old woman was grabbed from behind and her purse was taken from her last Friday, the London Police Service said on Wednesday.

Police said the woman was walking through the Wellington Street and Queens Avenue area around 1:45 a.m. on Friday, December 17, when a stranger yelled at her and started following her.
The suspect eventually grabbed her from behind, police said, snatched her purse and fled to nearby Victoria Park.
No injuries were reported, police said.
Police used video surveillance of a nearby business to identify the suspect, who was arrested on Tuesday, December 21.
The 22-year-old man, without a fixed address, was charged with theft and fraud.
