After two dominant regular season performances against the expanding Quinte Skyhawks, all signs point to an easy game for the Fratmen in Saturday’s Ontario Football Conference semifinal at Acumen Stadium. Game time is 7pm
“They have some talent, especially on defense, and while they’ve had some lopsided scores, as an expansion team, they’ve gotten better every game,” LaChance said.
The Fratmen scored 68-6 and 60-13 wins in the regular season against the Skyhawks en route to an 8-0 season, while Quinte finished fourth in the conference with a 2-6 record.
With a win, the Fratmen will host the OFC final in a week against the winner of the other semi-final between London and Hamilton, but LaChance is focused on Saturday.

“I respect Quinte’s coaching staff and hope they have a good game plan,” LaChance said. “They have some talent, some youngsters, but a great head coach.”
Fans should note that anyone wishing to attend the game must show proof of two doses of COVID-19 vaccine.

Lancer Women’s Soccer
Midfielder Jade Samping and goalkeeper Lauren Gellner were named stars of women’s soccer for the OUA West Division.
It is the first star recognition for both players. A product of Holy Names high school, Samping started all 10 games for the Lancers and didn’t miss a minute this season, while Gellner recorded five shutouts in 10 games this season.
