The donation from Floor Coverings International Tecumseh will go to the Habitat ReStore, which sells donated items to generate revenue for building and maintaining affordable homes.

“Our entire team is thrilled to support local charities,” said Floor Coverings International owner Bill Wellings. “It is really important for us to give back to our community, and we really appreciate the fact that all donations support local families.”

Habitat for Humanity director of operations Pamela Breault, and Rick Young, the organization’s director of enterprise, picked up the flooring on Friday.

“We are so grateful for the support that we have received, and continue to receive from our friends at Floor Coverings International,” said Breault. “Every donation, every sale, helps provide safe, decent, affordable home ownership opportunities in our community.”

Habitat for Humanity is planning the construction of three new homes on Henry Ford Center Drive this year as part of the Ford City Build project.
