Local artist shares ‘tricks’ for painting with watercolors

Dressed in a Halloween costume, artist Jude Quick shared some of her “tricks” of the watercolor painting trade Saturday at Nancy Johns Gallery and Framing on Wyandotte Street East. Quick is an expert in portraits, landscapes and flowers. She has taught art classes and earlier this year painted a picture for the cover of Mary Ann Adam’s book “The Medicine Bag.”

Quick’s entire portfolio of framed and matted paintings became available for sale in the studio on Saturday.
