Jeff Petry will miss Saturday night’s tilt between the Canadiens and Toronto Maple Leafs with a lower-body injury.

Puck drop at the Bell Center just after 7 pm (CBC, SNE, TVA Sports, TSN Radio 690, 98.5 FM).

Petry exited Thursday’s game against the Florida Panthers and will be out indefinitely.

The team also announced Jonathan Drouin was placed on injured reserve with an upper-body injury and will also be out indefinitely.

Brendan Gallagher will be sidelined one week with a lower-body injury.

The Canadiens reached a dubious milestone, becoming the first team mathematically eliminated for playoff contention.

William Lagesson, acquired from the Edmonton Oilers in the Brett Kulak trade, is expected to make his Montreal debut. Lagesson will wear No. 84.
