PSG received five out of five. In the absence of Neymar, Lionel Messi and other internationals left to rest after their return from matches with their respective national teams, the capital club managed to continue their clear cut in the league, with a fifth victory in as many matches.
This Saturday, September 11 at the Parc des Princes, the Parisians left no chance for the promoted Clermont, who conceded his very first defeat in Ligue 1 and could cede his third place in the standings this weekend (4-0).
Kylian Mbappé whistled again
Without Messi or Neymar, it was Kylian Mbappé who was expected at the turn. Touched in the calf with the France team a week ago, the striker was starting at kickoff. Because he almost left for Real Madrid, he was whistled by part of the Parc des Princes, just before the kickoff of the meeting, as against Strasbourg on August 14.
And as against the Alsatians (4-2), Kylian Mbappé responded on the ground. He scored his fourth goal of the season on the hour mark (55e) when his team were already leading by two goals.
On the first two achievements of the meeting, he was behind and it was Ander Herrera who took the light. The Spaniard offered his first double with PSG, playing the opportunists in the area twice (20e, 31e).

Paris confident before the start of the Champions League
Led by three goals, Clermont did not stop playing, because his coach Pascal Gastien is not the type to make concessions on the style of his team. The Auvergne have therefore seen their defense open several times in the last half hour.
Kylian Mbappé took advantage again, missing a big opportunity on which he could have served Rafinha (64e), before causing the fourth goal a minute later. At the time, Arthur Desmas repelled the strike of Kylian Mbappé, but the ball fell on the head of Idrissa Gueye who only had to conclude in the empty goal (65e).
Left ten minutes from the end of the match to the applause of the Parc des Princes (80e), Kylian Mbappé has successfully returned to competition. PSG, for its part, consolidates its first place in the standings, before starting its Champions League campaign, Wednesday, September 15, against Bruges.
