The updates consist of “increasing preventive care in the face of the new conditions of the pandemic, promptly reviewing the schedule of antigen tests and maintaining constant communication between institutions to assess new measures in the face of the growing risk of contagion”, as summarized by the MX League it’s a statement.

In a review prepared by this newspaper, until Wednesday, January 5, some clubs such as Toluca and San Luis responded to the reinforcement of sanitary measures by reminding the fans of measures such as the use of face masks or continuous cleaning of the areas of common use to the hobby; and the Bravos de Juárez even implemented the ‘Bravowallet’, seeking to eliminate the exchange of cash inside the stadium. Meanwhile, the teams that will host Day 1 (Puebla, Cruz Azul, Monterrey, Atl. The measures that the League requests to be monitored both in transfers and in the stands are the taking of temperature, the use of face masks during the entire stay in the buildings and hand disinfection. On December 22, Liga MX and the affiliated clubs of all its tournaments agreed that games can be rescheduled within the same week of the day in turn if there are between 7 and 10 positive cases; and it can be rescheduled for a week other than the one originally scheduled, only if there are more than 10 infections.

The football league responded to the increase in cases by relaxing the number of tests they carried out, since vaccinated personnel and players would be subjected to these less frequently, which the league defines as a scheme of strategic and focused tests.
