LG Introduces TV That Comes in 335-Inch and Costs Over $ 2 Million Canadian Dollars

If you’re looking to upgrade your home theater setup in this COVID-19 world we live in now, LG has the high-end option for you.

The South Korean tech giant has unveiled a new line of Direct View LED (DVLED) home theater displays, the most expensive of which costs $ 1.7 million (about CAD 2.14 million).

The reason it’s so dazzlingly priced is that it features a 325-inch, 2,000-pound, 8K resolution LED display. LEDs offer better contrast levels than OLEDs, but are more difficult to miniaturize and fit on large screens; therefore, the DVLED TV costs more than C $ 2 million.

So obviously this is not a viable option for most people. However, as pointed out CNET, The DVLED screen is essentially a replacement for a large, high-end projector – more expensive, safe, but ultimately better performing. With this in mind, venues and other businesses could make good use of it.
