The delta variant (B.1.617.2) has increased its presence in Spain until 94,9%, according to the update of this Monday from the Ministry of Health, which indicates that it is the dominant one in Spain, although its presence varies by communities from 48% to 100%.

In addition, Health highlights that the variants with the greatest impact on public health also include alpha (B.1.1.7), beta (B.1.351) and gamma (P.1).

Regarding the alpha variant, in Spain it has gone from being the dominant one, to occupying a range between 0 and 6.4%, with 14 communities below 1%.

As for beta, after having dominated in South Africa and neighboring countries, it has been displaced by the delta and in Europe it represents a small percentage of cases, as is the case with gamma, which is predominant in South America.

In Spain, it is in a range between 0 and 6.3% (with 12 autonomies below 1%).
