LaSexta and Atresplayer will broadcast the first television series about the Royal Family


The creator Aitor Gabilondo (‘Patria’) and the journalist Ana Pastor have created the first documentary series on the Spanish royal family, ‘The Bourbons: A Royal Family’which will premiere soon on laSexta and Atresplayer Premium.

The series consists of 6 episodes and tells the recent history of the Spanish crown, one of the oldest monarchies in Europe, focusing on the succession and the reign of Juan Carlos I, which ended with the abdication of the monarch.

The story of ‘The Bourbons: a royal family’ has been built from the historical archive, unpublished images and documents, recreations and testimonies of historians, writers, journalists, collaborators and people close to the Real home.

Co-produced by Atresmedia TV, Newtral and Exile Content, in collaboration with Alea Media, the first episode can be seen simultaneously on laSexta and on the Atresplayer Premium platform. At the end, the subscribers of the platform will already have the second chapter available and it will be on this platform that a new installment is broadcast every week.
