LaSalle police seek suspect in attempted break-in

A person reportedly tried to break into a home in the 3500 block of Donato Drive at 3:45 am, police said. The homeowner was awakened by a noise and saw a person trying to enter through the patio door.

Police arrived within minutes of the homeowner’s 911 call. However, the suspect was not found.

Investigators believe the male suspect, who wore a black hoodie, fled the area in a vehicle that was waiting in the 7000 block of Disputed Road.

Residents in the area are asked to check their video surveillance cameras for footage of the suspect.
