“This is quite rare – to have a full community celebration where everyone in the area is welcome, Jewish or not,” says Kingston Jewish Council President Debbie Fitzerman.

“And last year we realized how special it was when we had to change it. So this year we will be back, bigger and better than ever ”.

Sunday marks the last night of Hanukkah, which means that all the lights in the menorah will be turned on.

The story continues below the ad.

“It will bring light,” says Fitzerman. “You know, it’s symbolic and it’s nice.”

The eighth and last candle will be lit at dusk.
