Ground breaking, but not water breaking.
This year’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue features Katrina Scott, the magazine’s first-ever visibly pregnant model.
Scott was last year’s Rookie of the Year and she’s clearly a rookie no more.
The 38-year-old fitness trainer was about 35-weeks’ pregnant with her second child and she glowed in the white one-shoulder bikini, as she showed off her side view and her baby bump in all its gorgeous glory in a photo posted to social media by Sports Illustrated.

“As women, we have been told, shown, and expected to hide (then ‘bounce back’ from) our pregnant bodies, when, in fact, our beautiful bumps embody the miracle of what it means to be Selfless, Vulnerable, and Strong ,” Scott shared in an Instagram post with the image.
“In this issue, I hope to represent all the women out there that are creating life, feeling all the feels, and embracing change as they look to the future, especially those having difficult fertility journeys,” she continued. “I am with you, and you are never alone.
She added: “Our bodies and minds are capable of extraordinary things, and as for me, I’m all about gracefully bouncing forward.”
The magazine celebrated the shoot, calling it a “MAJOR moment.” Indeed.
Earlier this week, Scott admitted that her entire pregnancy has not “looked like a maternity shoot,” when, in fact, she was sick, exhausted, in pain and chasing her three-year-old daughter, Isabelle, around.

On New Year’s Eve, Scott announced that she and husband Brian Scott were going to welcome baby no. 2 after the model experienced plenty of fertility issues including two miscarriages and a chemical pregnancy, before she began her IVF journey.
“After losing heartbeats in the past, it’s the most magical sound to hear,” she told Today.
