The Kamloops Mounties say they encountered “hijacking equipment” and a significant amount of drugs earlier this week when they stopped a vehicle with expired license plates.

During a stop near Columbia Street and Highway 1 in Kamloops on September 22 for insurance expired, police say an RCMP officer saw weapons, resulting in the arrest of their occupants.

“Further investigation revealed what appeared to be abduction equipment that included a ball gag, zap straps, and duct tape; weapons, cash and numerous suspicious amounts of heroin, cocaine, crack and methamphetamine ”, Const. Crystal Evelyn, spokeswoman for the Kamloops RCMP, said in a press release.
