Justin Trudeau to celebrate his first media availability since the election

OTTAWA – More than a week after his election victory on September 20, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will have his first media presence on Tuesday afternoon.

Trudeau will be accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland. The couple are scheduled to visit an Ottawa vaccination clinic earlier in the day to thank healthcare workers.

Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson will also visit the clinic, along with Jenna Sudds, a former Ottawa city councilor who was recently elected to represent the Kanata-Carleton leadership.

Tuesday’s event marks the second time Trudeau has appeared on camera since last week’s election – he made his first appearance Friday night to announce the return of Canadians Michael Kovrig and Michael Spavor after spending nearly three years in detention. in China.
