Julia Otero has announced on his social networks that he has overcome colon cancer who was diagnosed last February.
The 61-year-old journalist then retired to start medical treatment and left the radio program ‘Julia en la Onda’, one of the veterans of Spanish radio, in the hands of her usual second, Carmen Juan.
This Wednesday he published a post on Instagram in which he shows his new image, with shorter hair and announcing his next return to the radio program Julia en la onda. “I’m alive and a warrior,” she announces.
Otero says that he has followed the advice of his doctors in treatments – including long walks – and diet, although he shows that he has lost a lot of weight.
And she makes a little private joke about “not following” the advice of the “white coats”, since her husband and daughter are also doctors. He has also thanked the many expressions of affection from listeners, colleagues and friends, who have given him support during these months.
In these months, he has resisted abandoning his followers and has reappeared sporadically on his Onda Cero program.
