Jalisco will finance economic development with government providers

After this year Congress approved an amendment to the State Government Procurement Law, the Jalisco Impulse Fund Trust that will capture 0.5% of the total amount of the contracts for goods and services granted by the state government through a public call and / or direct public award.

With this resource, next year the Impulse Fund plans to capture 25 million pesos that, through the granting of guarantees with second-tier banking and factoring, would generate more than 400 million pesos to finance local companies, indicated the General Strategic Growth coordinator. and Economic Development, Xavier Orendain de Obeso.

The credit lines They will be delivered, mainly, to small and medium-sized companies, said the state official.

“The estimate we have is that this fund may be constituted with contributions of 25 to 35 million pesos per year and as we expand and account for the proper use of resources, we believe that we can reach up to 40 or 45 (million pesos) , including even the municipalities “, commented the coordinator of the economic cabinet of Jalisco.

He explained that the operation of the fund will be in charge of a technical committee, it will be financially sustainable and affirmed that it will have the necessary profits to deal with issues such as hiring unemployment insurance and gradually providing coverage to formal workers.

Xavier Orendain said that from next January the trust’s share plan will be integrated to publish the bases in the first quarter of the year.

The trust committee is made up of productive sector organizations such as the Guadalajara Chamber of Commerce, Coparmex Jalisco and the Confederation of Mexican Workers (CTM).
