Jalisco starts with the construction of the Labor City

Guadalajara, Jalisco. With an investment of 295.3 million pesos, this Monday began the construction of the Ciudad Laboral in Jalisco.

The complex that will house the labor courts and the Conciliation Center will be built on a 56,000-square-meter plot of land, owned by the Decentralized Public Organization (OPD) State Pensions, for which it will generate income for the pension fund of workers, retirees and pensioners of the entity.

“What we are going to do is an infrastructure that will be the property of State Pensions, that will leave an income for State Pensions, and that will allow it to keep a building and a project over time that will surely continue to generate income. ”, stated Governor Enrique Alfaro, during the laying of the first stone of the complex.

The Labor City will house offices of the Secretary of Labor and Social Welfare (STyPS), of the Attorney General’s Office for the Defense of Labor, 35 conciliation rooms and administrative areas, as well as a parking lot with capacity for 382 cars.

For his part, the head of the Secretariat of Labor and Social Welfare in Jalisco, Marco Valerio Pérez Gollaz, indicated that the new facilities seek to comply with the Labor Reform, which stipulates that both the Labor Courts and the Conciliation Center must initiate activities on October 3 of this year.

“It is an investment that brings labor peace as a consequence, of course, but it lays the cornerstone for Jalisco to continue to be an attractive region in terms of investment,” said Pérez Gollaz.
