Well, this is a great return to “who smelled it, handed it out.”

A nurse at London’s Ealing Hospital was trying to sue her employer for wrongful termination, according to Newsweek , including the claim that the workplace secretly hypnotized her into passing gas.

Xandra Samson, who – no wonder! – lost her case, said she believed her “private parts” were being “inappropriately attacked” and that she was being “gas-lit using low-frequency sound waves.”

“I would like to report an observed pattern of possible inappropriate use of hypnosis / ideomotor phenomenon in my NHS [National Health Service] workplace, ”wrote Samson, a nurse from the hospital’s Acute Medical Unit (UMA), in her statement of the court report, reported Newsweek.

“I am a healthy person and I have no medical history, but recently I have had several symptoms including headaches, shortness of breath (choking sensation) and gastrointestinal disturbances (gurgling, spasms, flatulence).

Samson said his “altered states of consciousness” could have originated in the building’s heating and ventilation system.

He also wrote about seeing a pickup truck in the parking lot near where he works “carrying what appears to be audio equipment.”

Needless to say, Edgar Swart, division chief nursing officer at St Mark Hospital, dismissed Samson’s claims, describing them as “disturbing.”

“From the letter, it was clear to me that something was not quite right,” he summarized in what could be the euphemism of the year.
