Although I did not find this problem, several early reviews of the iPhone 13 Pro / Pro Max have cited that it is not possible to disable macro photography when you are using the ultra wide angle lens of smartphones to take a photo of a subject up close. until.
However, a fix for this issue is already in the works that includes a switch to turn macro photography on and off, according to a statement Apple sent to MobileSyrup.
Both the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max can focus on objects from just 2 cm away. I’m not entirely sure why you would take a wide angle photo and want to be close to a subject, but I suppose this could happen if you were trying to take a group selfie or similar type of shot.
Generally, the macro photography features of the iPhone 13 Pro / Pro Max are extremely impressive. While I found it can sometimes be challenging to get the lens to focus when you’re taking a photo of a moving object, it generally works quite well.
