The Colombian Association of Petroleum and Gas (ACP) presents the Inversion and Production Production Trend (E&P) in Colombia, with the balance of 2021 and perspectives for 2022. Exploratory activity, which is 2.2 times superior to the one executed in 2021 and the highest recorded since 2014.
Francisco José Lloreda Mera, Executive President of the ACP, states that “since the ACP we have these projections as a good news for Colombia, then an exploratory mayor is translating dynamism into local economies, employment and labor generation, inversion opportunities for the regions; in addition, exploration is the production of the future, it is said, the guarantee of the energy autosufficiency of the country, and the tax incentives that Colombia receives for the production and export of its energy resources ”.
Asimismo, for this year, the scientist is also interested in the production and exploration of natural gas, which represents 52% of the total projected inversion (591 million dollars). By the same token, 930 million dollars (82% of the 2022 inversions) will be spent on firearms and the remainder in Costa Rica (200 million dollars), including the perforation of deep water deposits.
The regions that receive the highest percentage of inversion are, in the first place, the Caribbean, which continues to be the main recipient of exploration inversion (487 million dollars).
