The update of the brand’s largest suv is defined by technological improvements to the interior and some exterior changes to make it more competitive. With three trim levels, more interior space and two power levels, the Expedition 2022 is now available in Mexico.

The fascia was redesigned, new strokes for the headlights and grill were added to it (which is somewhat in sync with the image seen in Maverick). Modifications and different finishes for the roof rack rails as well as the rear fascia follow. In terms of dimensions, there are two different lengths: 5,334 millimeters (Limited), and 5,636 millimeters (Limited Max and Platinum Max).
Modernity
From the list of equipment, the incorporation of a 12.4” digital cluster and a 15.5” vertical screen located on the console (inherited from the F-150 Lightning electric pick-up) stand out. For the Limited and Limited Max versions, the cluster is 8” and the screen is 12”. The sound system is Bang & Olufsen with 12 speakers and 22 for the highest level. The SYNC 4 system, AppleCarPlay, Android Auto, Voice Activated Navigation, HD Radio, 6 USB ports and wireless charger are added. As optional equipment, there are 2 8” screens with DVD, HDMI input, SD Card and USB to be mounted on the front headrests.

Agility
The 2022 Ford Expedition is powered by the popular 3.5-liter Twin Turbo V6 engine that develops 375 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque and can tow up to 4.2 tons. At the Platinum Max level, the power source was set to 400 hp and 480 pound-feet of torque. In both cases the transmission is a 10-speed automatic. For the first two levels the traction is 4×2 while the most complete has it 4×4.

A vehicle that stands out in this section with 6 airbags, ABS brakes with ventilated discs, EBD, SOS Post-Collision Alert System, Lane Keeping System, Pre-Collision Assistance with Automatic Emergency Brake (detects vehicles and pedestrians ), Blind Spot Monitoring with Trailer Extendable Cross-Traffic Alert, Advanced Traction Control, Rollover Stability Control, and more.
Unfortunately for our country, the Timberland and Stealth versions were excluded. The first with a totally off road orientation with details such as a higher suspension while Stealth is positioned as a high performance option.
