INE orders the removal of propaganda for the revocation of the mandate in facilities of the CDMX Government


The Complaints and Denunciations Commission of the National Electoral Institute (INE) ordered the Government of Mexico City remove advertising from revocation of mandate personalized to the head of the federal Executive, visible in some of its facilities.

The representations of BREAD, PRD and PRI They denounced before said commission the party Brunetteto the civil association Let Democracy Follow AC and whoever is responsible for the dissemination of advertising that contains the image of the President of the Republic and different legends in various entities of the country that, according to the complainants, intend to influence the public to favor the president during the exercise of revocation of mandate that will be carried out on April 10, 2022, making an improper use of public resources in said dissemination.

The INE Commission confirmed through a review that in the Mexico City there is the pint of fences with the invitation to participate in the day of revocation of mandate under the legend #QueSigaAMLO placed in urban equipment, as well as in spaces belonging to the Water System facilities, the Garbage Transfer Station and the Solid Waste Selection and Utilization Plant in San Juan de Aragón, in perimeter fences of children’s games located in the Gustavo A. Madero, as well as in some other surrounding areas with light towers of the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE).

By unanimous vote of the electoral councilors Claudia Zavala, Ciro Murayama and Adriana Favela, the Complaints and Denunciations Commission of the National Electoral Institute considered appropriate to grant the precautionary measures requested, because it is publicity with the purpose of influencing the preferences of citizens in the revocation of the mandate placed in the buildings used by different government entities.

The Commission did not rule on the use of public resources in the contracting and authorization of this advertising, because it will be an issue that will be analyzed by the Specialized Regional Chamber, as it corresponds to the merits of the matter.

The Secretariat of Administration and Finance of Mexico City was ordered to remove the denounced graffiti within a period that may not exceed 24 hours, counted from the notification, and must report compliance with the order within 24 hours. following hours.
