The electoral adviser Ciro Murayama affirmed that the judges will have the last word in the revocation of the mandate, since the INE has already filed a constitutional controversy before the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation due to the lack of budget, while Morena has already challenged the decision before the Electoral Court of the Federal Judicial Branch (TEPJF) and the same Court.

The counselor said that the National Electoral Institute “It is moving on the correct legal path”, since it has already filed a constitutional controversy action before the SCJN Due to the lack of 3,830 million pesos, it costs to organize and carry out the consultation on the revocation of the presidential mandate.

Stated that Morena has already appeared before the Electoral Court, while the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Sergio Gutiérrez Luna, also presented an appeal to the Court.

“Before a dispute, the judges speak,” said the counselor. Ciro Murayama, by highlighting that either of the two judicial instances where legal resources are deposited, can decide if the INE is right to demand the resources it requires from the Federation and the Chamber of Deputies for the revocation of the presidential mandate.

It should be noted that this morning at his press conference at the National Palace, the president Andrés Manuel López Obrador asked the INE to reconsider its decision to postpone the proceedings of the revocation of mandate, and carry out such consultation with the resources you have.

The president insisted that, in his opinion, it is possible that citizens can carry out the revocation consultation; however, he said wait for him to solve the TEPJF o la SCJN.

“And if we could do it, of course we can, but the most convenient thing is that there be an act of rectification by the INE itself, because they are not right. Why wait for the Electoral Tribunal or the Supreme Court to amend or correct the plan? It would be very welcome if they develop an alternative plan these days, ”he commented.

It should be noted that some INE advisers have presented projects to carry out the recall process, but with a smaller operating structure and number of polling stations, although so far none have been presented to the General Council.
