In November, consumer confidence grew 1.7 points

Consumers showed greater optimism last November, a month characterized by offers and promotions from The good end, where it seeks to encourage consumption.

According to the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (Inegi), in November the Consumer Confidence Indicator (ICC) reached a level of 45.8 points, the highest level since March 2019, when it registered 46.9 points.

In other words, consumer confidence has recovered in recent months to levels that were not seen even before the Covid-19 pandemic, which knocked down optimism last year.

In monthly comparison, the ICC had a growth of 1.7 points in the month, with which it registered three consecutive months of growth. In its annual comparison, the increase was 8.8 points.

It was in the month of El Buen Fin where, within the ICC components, the one related to the consumption presented the highest monthly growth.

In November, the possibilities of household members to buy furniture and appliances increased 3.4 points per month; however, the level of this item continues to be the weakest with 26.7 points.

The economic perspective current both the home and the country also showed improvement during the month. In the first case, the advance was 2.8 points, while in the second the monthly increase was 2.2 points.

Future prospects also showed improvement, albeit at a slower pace. The economic situation expected by the household in 12 months increased 1.2 points, while the economic situation expected for the country grew 0.5 points.
