Iberia and Binter cancel flights to La Palma due to the ash cloud

The Canary Islands airline Binter has just temporarily suspended flights to La Palma due to the ash cloud from the volcanic eruption, while Iberia has done the same with its flight this afternoon to the island.

“We temporarily canceled flights to La Palma due to suspended ash. The stoppage will continue until conditions improve and allow flying, guaranteeing safety. At this time it is not possible to make a forecast of when the flights will be able to resume ”, as announced by the company on its official Twitter account.

In addition, they remember that it is attending through the usual channels the requests for changes or refunds that may be received by the affected passengers on these flights. “We are following the evolution of the situation at all times in contact with the aeronautical authorities,” they add.

For now, the rest of the flight schedule in the archipelago continues to develop normally, although Binter warns that La Gomera may also suffer delays or cancellations.
