Humane Society of London and Middlesex Launch Virtual Food Drive – London | The Canadian News

As folks prepare to fill their stomachs with turkey dinners, the Humane Society of London and Middlesex makes sure furry friends in town have bowls full over the holidays, too.

HSLM is asking the community to help fill the bowls of more than 250 shelter pets this weekend for the Virtual Food Drive.

“We ask our fans to give hope this Thanksgiving weekend by giving a pet a meal at HSLM,” says Steve Ryall, CEO of HSLM.

Ryall says that they often have animals with different health complications that can be resolved with the right diet.

“Gastrointestinal, urinary and hypoallergenic are some of the special foods that we give to the pets in the shelter every day.”

People who wish to support the campaign can donate food or make a financial contribution to the HSLM website.

The Humane Society is encouraging monetary donations so they can get the right products to meet the dietary requirements of each pet.

Food donations can also be purchased through the HSLM. Amazon wish list or Ren’s Pet Gift Registry, or drop it off in person at the shelter between 10 am and 6 pm during the week and from 10 am to 4 pm on weekends.
