Homicide police investigate after shooting death in south Edmonton

Homicide detectives are investigating the suspicious death of a man in south Edmonton Thursday night.

At around 9 p.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting in the area of ​​23 Avenue and 106 Street, police said in a news release. Paramedics treated and transported two injured to hospital; however, one of the men died. The other man remains in the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

The EPS Homicide Section has taken over the investigation. An autopsy has not yet been scheduled. Police said no arrests have been made.
