Hikers were praised for taking off their turbans, matching them and rescuing a man stranded in BC | The Canadian News

A groundbreaking rescue at Golden Ears Provincial Park helped save a man who had recently slipped into fast and dangerous waters.

On Thanksgiving Monday, a man fell off the rocks near Lower Falls and clung to a rock.

Fortunately, a group of hikers passed by and saw the man and jumped into action to help him.

The five men removed their turbans and, using some of their clothes, tied them together on a rope and used it to carry the stranded hiker to safety.
