Quebec’s Highway 20 has been “preventively” closed for an undetermined length of time in Drummondville, the provincial transport ministry said.

The closure — at Foucault Blvd. — is effective in both directions, Transport Quebec said Saturday afternoon in a tweet. Motorists should take a detour via Routes 122 and 143. Ministry crews have been deployed to the site.

Transport Quebec did not immediately specify the reasons for the move. A ministry spokesperson could not immediately be reached for comment.
