The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit on Wednesday reported the COVID death of a woman in her 90s. She lived in the general community.
To date, 570 area residents have lost their lives to the disease, including 75 deaths since Jan. 1.
Area hospitals have 67 COVID-positive patients. Nine of them are in intensive care.

Forty-eight outbreaks remain active at 15 long-term care and retirement homes, six hospital units, 19 community settings, and eight workplaces.
