Guilty of sexual assault on woman | The Crown demands two years in prison for actor Goûchy Boy

(Longueuil) The actor Goûchy Boy deserves two years of incarceration for having sexually assaulted a woman whom he treated as his “sexual object”, according to the Crown. Home prison is quite sufficient, argues the defense, emphasizing the artist’s loss of contracts. The victim is scarred for life.

“In shock, terrorized, incomprehension and feeling threatened, I fell into the grip of my attacker, I became his puppet,” says the victim, in a letter read to the court on Monday, at the Palais de justice of Longueuil, during observations on the sentence of “Goûchy Boy”.

Real name Ugochukwu Chijoke Onyechekwa, the 52-year-old actor was convicted last year of a sexual assault that occurred in 2018 in a Brossard motel. He appealed the verdict.

Goûchy Boy is best known for his role as a prison guard in the series Unit 9. He has also performed scenes alongside Hollywood stars Paul Walker, Robert Pattinson, Steven Seagal and Jon Voight.

The 6’5″ colossus, who now uses walkers, gave his victim a hellish night. He had developed a relationship with this woman he met on a film set. A court order protects her identity.

One evening, after an argument with the accused, the woman was in tears and in a “little ball” in the bedroom. She is scared. Ignoring his condition and his tears, Ugochukwu Chijoke Onyechekwa decrees that he wants a sexual relationship. The victim’s buttocks belong to him, he said.

Crown prosecutor M^e Tiziana Daniele underlines the “particularly odious” nature of the attack committed in a context of psychological violence and breach of trust.

“She feels pain, the accused will ignore it. She cries during this relationship. The accused shows total contempt for the wishes of the victim, will treat her as an object which belongs to him, and which serves to satisfy his sexual needs,” pleaded Mr.^e Daniele.

The Crown is seeking a sentence of two years in prison, followed by three years’ probation.

In a letter read in court, the victim details the numerous after-effects left by the attack: severe post-traumatic shock, hypervigilance, humiliation, etc. She adds that she has lived in “shame” since the attack, since she has had to hide her story from her colleagues.

The defense is asking for 20 months in community prison. A more severe sentence is not necessary, since it is a single sexual assault, without recurrence, argued defense lawyer M^e Kristina Marković.

According to the criminalist, we must consider the impact of the media coverage of the case on the career of the accused. He lost all his contracts overnight when he was arrested. However, for the Crown, there was no “abusive” media coverage.

The judge will make his decision next May.
