Margot Robbie is one of the most successful actresses in Hollywood, and the Australian star is best known for her breakout role in The Wolf of Wall Street. The blonde beauty rose to fame in the Martin Scorsese biographical black comedy, where she played scene-stealer Naomi Lapaglia, the on-screen wife of Leonardo DiCaprio.

And her work doesn’t end there, because Margot is currently working on her next live action movie, where she will play the iconic Barbie doll alongside Ryan Gosling as Ken.
But, not many people may know that Margot is married to Tom Ackerley, who has strong ties to Surrey. In an attempt to get to know the British film producer, we did some research on Tom and this is what we found.

Tom Links to Surrey
The former assistant director was born on June 13, 1990 in Surrey and is the youngest of three brothers. He grew up in Guildford and attended Godalming College.
He began his film career as an extra in the first three installments of the Harry Potter film series and, after a break, returned to the industry as an executive producer on such films as Gambit (2012) and Rush (2013). Tom met Margot on the set of Suite Française in 2013 when he was an assistant director and she played the supporting role of Celine, before she rose to fame. The couple began dating the following year.
In the midst of their blossoming relationship, Tom managed to raise £2,200 with his two brothers and a friend for the Guildford Challengers disability charity at the 2016 RideLondon event. After three years of romance and living together with flatmates in London, the couple eventually married near their hometown of Dalby on the Gold Coast.
“The Gold Coast was a place where she always wanted to get married, as this is where she grew up as a child, on her grandparents’ farm,” a source previously told Australian Women’s Day magazine. “Tom originally wanted to get married in the UK, but he knows how much it means to Margot to be married in her homeland and how special it is to her, so he didn’t put up much of a fight.
“They decided to get married for Christmas so they could spend time with both of their families afterwards, something they had never done before,” the source added. Guests at the low-key ceremony were told not to spread the word about the nuptials, so Margot and Tom managed to keep it a secret.
Now, the happy couple lives in Venice, Los Angeles, but the A-list actress hasn’t ruled out returning Down Under to start a family. Speaking to Australian TV show The Project in 2016, she said: “They will be here. The children will be in Australia.”
And referring to Tom, she said: “He loves Australia. It’s like, ‘I don’t know why someone leaves Australia! The family curses him for being a pommie! ‘. !'”
The lovebirds have also produced several movies and television series, including the Academy Award-nominated movies I, Tonya, and Promising Young Woman.
