Guelph Police Search for SUV Driver in Hit-and-Run Accident

Guelph police are searching for the driver of a vehicle they say left the scene of an accident in a city square Tuesday afternoon.

According to a press release, the accident took place in a plaza at Speedvale Avenue West and Woolwich Street around 2:40 p.m.

Police said a gray Mercedes pickup collided with an eastbound vehicle at Speedvale and did not stop after the accident.

The van was reportedly last seen heading north on Woolwich Street and could have damage to the front.

The woman driving the SUV is described as white, in her 40s with blonde hair.
