It came after the mother of a 14-year-old boy called police to report that photos of her son had been posted online through a popular social media site, police said.
“The investigation revealed that the boy’s ex-girlfriend sent pictures and a video to her current boyfriend, who posted them on social media,” police said.
On Monday, police announced that the groom had been arrested the day before and charged with possession and distribution of child pornography.
He will appear in court on December 1.
It is not the only recent child pornography investigation in Guelph involving a teenage suspect.
