The mining giant Grupo México, one of the world’s largest copper producers, said on Tuesday that it plans to increase its investments by 67% this year, to promote various projects.
Mexico Group, also with businesses in the transportation and infrastructure sectors, expects to pay out $ 2.274 million in 2022, above the $ 1.362 million it allocated to capital investments last year, according to its fourth-quarter results report.
In its report, the company said that its year-on-year profit between October and December decreased by 28% to $ 901 million, while its revenue was $ 3.776 million, 17.4% more than that in the same period of 2020 registered.
Its shares closed Tuesday at 89.83 pesos in the stock market locally, with an advance of 1.40 per cent.
